AI-Augmented University Entrepreneurial Ecosystems
I am currently working on a project examining university entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a particular focus on the transformative role of AI technologies in shaping how these ecosystems function — and what this means for policy-making at the university level. As universities increasingly serve as engines of innovation and venture creation, the real-world challenge motivating this research is clear: entrepreneurial ecosystems are not simple, linear systems but complex, interconnected networks of actors, resources, and feedback loops, and the rapid integration of AI tools is fundamentally altering how these actors interact, how knowledge flows, and how ventures are created and scaled. Understanding this complexity is essential for university leaders and policy-makers seeking to design effective strategies that support AI-enabled entrepreneurship. AI in Telemedicine
I am also working on a project exploring the promises and pitfalls of AI-enabled telemedicine for immigrant communities. While telemedicine promises to close longstanding gaps in access to care, it can also deepen existing inequities for immigrant populations facing barriers like language, digital literacy, and trust. This project examines how AI can be designed to genuinely expand access and improve outcomes — while avoiding new forms of exclusion or harm.
